So last night I had a house party or business function for my MLM business…

Why did I have one?

Because they work incredibly well for building momentum in your business!  MLM House party business meeting

I am definitely an advocate for both  the “Old School” & “New School” mlm marketing methods…

I use them both, because if you want to build a TRUE MLM business, one that will grow you a downline that continues to grow and build, you MUST have strategies in place that are duplicatable…

AND anyone (including you) can do a house party…

 

The Results TO DATE from my Party….

I had 24 people over to my house last night to look at my business and to sample the product…

Do you think I have generated some momentum in my business?  You can count on it…

2 new distributors coming in…

New customers…

and 22 other people who are presently looking at the opportunity… doing their home work and who I will be following back up with this weekend…

…I am guest-i-mating 4 – 5 new distributors from last night will be the final tally…

THAT is why I do house parties!

And that is why you should do house parties!

How To Do a MLM House Party

Ok so how do you do a house party…

First you have the invite stage…

So sit down and make a list of people you want to invite…

Come up with a big list…

The fact is less then half of the people who you invite will show up!

So for last nights party I did invite over 50 people… some said they were tied up… others cancelled at the last minute…

I believe I had 30 confirmed and 24 showed up..

So make a list that is double the amount of people you want to show up!

if you want 10 (which is a nice size)… then invite 20 – 25!

 

What To Say…

Whatever you are comfortable with is my advice…

Last night I told people I was having a taste test for the business I am involved with.

Told people I was having a business partner travel in from out of town to help me and I needed to fill the seats.

Asked them to come and do me a favor and be there to support me.

Told them it would last 45 mins or so and we would be done and I would really appreciate them coming out supporting me.

That is it and worked great!

 

Follow Up…

So I invited 4 days out from my party…

Then the night before I confirmed with everyone, just to remind them and to stress I needed their support.

When I contacted them to confirm I simply said “ I wanted to let you know we will be starting at 7pm sharp, so if you could be there 10-15 mins before hand that would be great”.

I also gave them the schedule for the night… “we will be tasting the product and then having a short video presentation on what I am up to…. thanks again for coming I appreciate it”

 

 

The Party Itself…

Do NOT set up a bunch of chairs expecting a big crowd… keep your living room as it is now and if it fills up THEN you can bring out more chairs…

This is a strategy that works… the idea is that if you set out a lot of chairs and they do not fill up your guests think to themselves… Hmm he has people not showing this must be no good!

Where as if you have to bring out more chairs to fit more guests that show up, the opposite is true… people think WOW look at all the people coming this is obviously a cool thing!

Do not serve alcohol, keep it professional…

Have applications ready for the end of the night…

Make sure all distractions are gone… yup this includes kids and pets…  love them but they are a distraction for a business meeting!  Turn off the ringer on your phone!

Stick to your schedule… start when you said you would and wrap it up when you said it would.

 

The Presentation…

…do not do the presentation yourself… people will think they will have to if they join and nobody wants to be a presenter…

Simply do a short “why You Joined” speech… 30 secs…  then play a 3rd party tool, like a DVD, or website… presentation of your business.

After that it is always good to either have an upline member there to do a short talk on the opportunity or have them skype in or call into a speaker phone… and let THEM answer any questions your prospects have!

 

The Close…

At the end of the meeting have the presenter tell the guest to let you know if they are a 1, 2 or 3…

1) Want to be a customer of your product…

2) Interested in the business, either ready to go or need more information…

3) It is not for them…

Then make sure you find out from each guest… either that night or within the next two days when you follow up!

 

Lets Party…

Gang try this…  book a party and get your team to do the same.

I built a very large downline pretty much on these types of parties alone… had them running ALL the time in our business.

They work very well… they are NOT hard to do… and they create serious growth!
