Your Coffee List

Here is a very unique approach that not many networkers use at all.

I called it my coffee list as I would meet with people over coffee using this strategy, but it can most definitely be done over the phone and that is where I use it the most now.

 

Ok…  so since you are reading this post…  I just know that you are a good network marketing professional…  meaning you are someone who is coachable and who has done the #1 recruiting  activity that have been taught by every successful networker marketer from the beginning of time…

Meaning…  You Have Called Your Warm Market!!

If you have not already prospected your warm market, this strategy is NOT for you.  Go prospect yoru warm market and then come back to this one.

 

Alright…  so you have prospected your warm market…  you still have your list of these people.

Go and get that list…

Sit down at the phone…

And Call them back!

Yup!  Call them back…  every last one of them!

BUT…

This time instead of trying to recruit them say something along these lines…

“Hey John…  remember that opportunity I talked to you about last month?    I realize it was not for you and that is great, no problem.  What I am calling about is, we have been recruiting large numbers of professionals, like real estate agents, entrepreneurs, mortgage brokers, etc.  I wanted to ask you a favor, can you give me a few names of people you know like that who would be open to making Six Figures a year part time and who like to have a good time. ?”

 

Now here is the magic…  two things are going to happen here.

Outcome #1:

Many of the people you ask this question of will give you a few names.  Call those people up, and simply say:

“we have a mutual friend in JOHN…  I own a business we are expanding into your area…  I am always looking for sharp people who keep their options open in terms of creating additional cash flow…  I asked John for some names of people who he thought maybe open to opportunities and he gave me your name…  are you open to looking at opportunities?”.

 

Outcome #2:

When you call up your old warm market and say this…  a large percentage are magically now going to be interested in your opportunity.

Why?

Because you are not paying attention to them…  you are not selling them…  you are not chasing them.

The fear of loss kicks in.

When they ask you for more info about the business…  don’t jump all over them, stay cool clam and collective and simply ask them “What has changed?  What now has them open to looking at an opportunity?”  (this makes them jump through a little hurdle, shows them you are becoming a professional and you are NOT desperate to land them!)

Then simply point them to a tool, and schedule a follow up!

 

Awesome strategy that works… IF you work it!

Your Afraid

If you have been in Network Marketing for any longer then 6 months and have not created some significant results I can say with almost 99% certainty that you are AFRAID!

Wham-o  huh?  Have some of that!  Not holding any punches today!  Giving it to you straight and calling you out!  :)

Why can I say this?

Because building an MLM Business is easy!

Yup Easy!!

This is just a numbers game! 

The numbers always work.

And the number never Lie!

Meaning…

If you share your opportunity with a certain amount of people… a certain amount of people will join.

Meaning:

E = R

Efforts = Results!

As I said the numbers always work.

Makes no difference who you are…  if you share your opportunity with the right number of people you are going to have a large business…  if you don’t you won’t!  Easy!

SO…

This brings us back to my point that if you have been in MLM for over 6 months and have not created great results you are Afraid!

By my six month mark I was over SIX figures a year.

WHY?

Because I shared the opportunity, over and over and over and over and over again to countless people.

I did what was required.

I was not afraid to share my opportunity with any and everyone all the time.

And like it is suppose to happen…  the numbers worked!

And they will for you too!

You just have to get over your Fear.

Fear of rejection…

Fear of what people think of you…

Do not let other people’s opinions hold you back from the life you desire.

As I mentioned in a post a few days back, there are people EVERYWHERE who you can share your opportunity with…  the reason you are not is because you are AFRAID to do so, no other reason!

 

There are 2 ways to get over your Fear.

#1) DAILY personal development. 

If you are not reading at least 15 – 30 minutes of a good book that will motivate you and keep you focused on your goal…  I have serious doubts as to whether you will make it to the top.

At the moment I am Reading “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield.  AWESOME book.  I have read this thing about 5 times.  It is arguably one of the top 3 best personal development books of all time! (bold statement, but true!).  I highly recommend it.

 

#2) Just do it!

Do whatever it is that is holding you back.

Do it over and over again and in no time you will be over your fear of it and you will wonder why in the world you ever let it hold you back in the first place.

Scared to call leads?  Buy 100 cheap leads and CALL THEM, to practice with and to get over your phone fear.

After you make these 100 dials, you will be over your fear of the phone I promise.

Scared of meeting people in your local area…  get your shoes on and get out to every community/networking event you can find and start meeting people.

Doing what you are afraid of is the only way to get over this fear.

 

Everyone who ever made it in Network marketing was nervous, apprehensive or afraid at first…  they just mustered up the energy and courage to face those fears, buckled in and went for it!

You are no different…  the only thing holding you back is the lie you are telling yourself for why you cannot do it…  Go and prove yourself wrong!!

Facebook is an incredible tool for network marketing recruiting.

However there are different strategies you can employ for success on Facebook.

I personally use 2 strategies.

Before I explain the 2 of them the most important thing regarding Facebook is understanding how not to use it to build your network marketing business.

Do not spam on Facebook.  Do not go searching out people and smash them over the head with your business.

In fact unless you are using Facebook in conjunction with an attraction marketing system designed to recruit existing networkers, I personally believe you should not even bring up your business on Facebook.

Post nothing about it.

Facebook is a great tool for building relationships, not selling.

 

Ok so here is how I used Facebook:

1) I have a personal account, which I use to play on facebook.  This is where I hang out with my family and close friends.  Posting things that is for their eyes only, etc.

I believe this is important when you are using Facebook for recruiting.  You need to provide a certain image and let’s be honest sometimes your old buddy from when you were 16 posting on your profile the latest updates from his life are not going to give you the most professional image!

So have an account for fun, keep it away from your MLM business.

 

2) I have an account that I use to “ACTIVELY” go out and meet professionals.

I seek and search out people I want to work with, I add them as one of my friends, and I go about creating a relationship with them.

WHEN the time is right I ask them if they keep their options open when it comes to creating additional income streams outside of what they are presently doing.

I post nothing about MLM here.

I post fun, inspiring and interesting stuff on this profile and I engage in conversations with my new friends.

This one is where I engage with people like yourself.

Conclusion:

Facebook is a tool, that will work for you if you develop a strategy that makes sense and works and if you give it time to produce fruit.

Recruiting on Facebook is not an overnight thing, but if you are consistent and have patience you will start to see some great results.

And it is also very duplicatable, you can get your team doing it also and you will grow that much faster.

Want to know if you are on the right track towards success in your MLM Business?

This simple test is foul proof.

Pour yourself a cup of your favorite beverage… have a seat at your desk… take out a pen and paper…  get ready for action…  and write down the exact number of “DIALS”you are making on a daily bases!!!

If you are making 20 plus per day…  congrats you are on the fast track to success.  

If you are making 10 dials a day, you are on your way, but why not take it up to the 20 notch.

And if you are at 5, congrats you are doing better than 99% of networkers…  you are in the game and you will see activity, however now that you are over your fear of the phone, you need to crank it up and get it to the 10-20 a day min range!

If you are under 5 per day, time to get serious and go for it!

Success in this business comes from talking to people and lots of them!!!

DIALING and talking to people is Rain Making activity and in the end is the only thing that really counts in this business.

 

Where Do I Find People To Talk Too?

There are hordes of strategies out there to find people you can talk to.

Worst case scenario pick up some good leads and start calling people as you are learning how to develop or find your own leads.

Many many people built serious incomes calling cold leads alone.

There are people everywhere….

Get creative…

=> Run ads…

=> Put ballot boxes in different locations around your town…   offering a free month of your product to the winner of the draw.  And then call everyone…  let them know they did not win, but you wanted to contact them anyways…  see if they keep their income opportunities open.

=> Go to trade shows…  do not put a booth in, but instead walk around talking to people, and collecting their business cards.

=> Collect business cards… business people leave them laying around everywhere.  Pick them up and call the person, explain to them you are expanding your business and are looking for people who keep their income options open…  ask them if they do?

=> On facebook…  there is a “Phone book” link!  On it you will find the phone numbers of all of your friends who have put their phone number on their info screen.  Call them up.  Introduce yourself, etc etc!

Finding people is easy…

You need to get rid of that excuse…

So pick up that phone and start smiling and dialing your way to the dollars!

What Is Your Goliath?

This message is not meant to be a rah rah pump you up motivating message.  And I am not trying to be the next Tony Robbins (He does a great enough job on his own!)

However the following is so important to your success in this business that I would go so far to say that if you are failing it is probably because you have never seriously done this…

How many times have we heard our upline tell us that we need to develop our “Why?”!

STOP!

Before you bail out of here, thinking you have heard it all before…  give your head a shake, settle down and read on.

Personally I was a develop your “why”  resister….  It sounded like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me.

However the minute I really engaged in the activity of digging deep and figuring out who I was and what made me tick… as soon as I figured out  my true “Why” for wanting to achieve success nothing could stop me.

THINK ABOUT IT:

Don’t think your why really matters?

Think about this example for a second.

You and I are in NY City…  at the top of a very tall skyscraper….

I extended a board from the skyscraper we are on across to the closest one…

I tell you I will give you $30 if you run across this board to the next building…

We are talking hundreds of feet up in the air.

Would you cross the board?

Now there may be the odd adrenaline junkie who would do it….  but the majority of people would NOT!

 

BUT…

What if your child’s life was on the line and the only way to save them was to cross over that board to the other side???

Wham…  without even thinking about it you would sprint across that board.

 

Why?  What changed?

Your WHY changed…  your reason for doing it changed!

If your why is great enough you will do whatever it takes.

If your why is not great enough, you will let any little challenge (like calling prospects) derail you…  you will settle back into the comfort of your day to day life and job.

If your why is not great enough, you will let any little adversity ruin you…  if when prospecting you get a bunch of No’s you are done!

YOUR GOLIATH.

The biggest accomplishments and victories in life have always been when there has been an enemy to fight!  

David verses Goliath.

Luke verses Darth Vader. (young jedi!)

The Allies verses Hitler.

MacDonalds verses Burger King

Just saying you want money is not enough.  we have heard it before and it is true, it is not enough!!  PERIOD!

What is your enemy?

Is it not having time to spend with family?

Is it not having the money to pay for your child’s education?

Is it being in debt?

Is it being stuck having to go to your daily job you hate, day in and day out?

 

MINE:

Personally I have a few defined why’s that motivate me and keep me moving forward.

When the going gets tough I remind myself of them, and they always push me onward.

However my most motivating “Why” is to show myself and others that I can do it.  That I am going to do as I said I was going to.  For everyone who told me it was not possible, that stuff does not work, I use that for fuel, it drives me.

I am competitive.  If others can do it then there is no reason why I can’t.  And because they did I will.

Failure is not an option!!

If I get a “No” when I am prospecting I get angry and it drives me to push on even harder. (this person is not going to stop me!)

Happened last night in fact, I was tired from getting back from my 2 weeks in Texas…  but made myself sit down and do my prospecting calls….  the first one I made was a Big Fat “NO!”…

Now for many people if on the first call they make they get a No, they would be done for the night….

But not me….  it awakened my WHY!

You would have thought I was given a shot of adrenaline…  I got fired up, I got mad…  I got motivated and kept on dialing…

I know myself and I know what drives me…  I know my why!

If you want success in your MLM business, take the time, be honest with yourself and figure out the exact reason you want to make it…  what is it that will make you carry on and never quit?

Write it down and put it somewhere you can see every day!

Take this seriously…  90% of this business is mental!  Win the battle with yourself and you can achieve incredible things!!
