5 Powerful but Easy Ways to Start Changing the World

Regardless of your spiritual beliefs you have to appreciate the follow quote by Mahatma Gandhi …“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

The very cool thing about following his advice is that when you do you could end up creating a tidal wave like effect felt on the changetheworldother side of the world.

Like dropping a pebble into the ocean the ripples from the waves could cause changes that could be felt around the world.

The key to changing the world in the areas you wish it changed, is to first make those changes in yourself. When you prove to people by your actions that you are going to live a positive life, slowly the people around you will start to follow suit and in no time at all the positive changes will start to happen all around you.

There is not a better way to start changing the world for the better then to start where you are.

The following list is just some of the simple methods to change the world that you can start implementing right away:

Method #1) Become a great conversationalist by listening…

Take the time to pay attention when others are speaking.  Do not interrupt them.

This may sound like an obvious one. But look around and start listening to people having conversations, most of the time it is made up of each person trying to talk over the other person.

Don’t allow yourself to jump in to speak until the other person has finished. By showing them you really are listening to what they are saying and then responding to what they had to say will make them feel special. It will make them feel like they matter

And ta da… there is your very first positive change!

==> If you make this a habit people will start to notice it and how it makes them feel and before long they will be repeating the process with others.

Method #2) Give your stuff away…

Most people have more stuff then they know what to do with. Stuff that is taking up room in your basement and garage… nice stuff that you no longer use. Pack it up and give it to a shelter or charity.

==> People will get good use out of your items. It will help those in need and as a result you are going to feel pleased by this. Even consider getting a few friends or your neighborhood in on the fun.

Method #3) Volunteer your time…

Charities, Shelters Schools and Churches are always looking for volunteers, they are undermanned and need the help.

==> There is no end to the possibilities here… if you are an accountant you could offer to look after their books for free. If you are a handy man you could offer to do some maintenance work. If you can knit you could offer to make sweaters, hats or blankets for shelters, etc, etc etc

Method #4) Set up a group of people who are interested in charitable work…

Set up fund raising activities to raise money to send to organizations that are building schools and providing drinking water in third world countries.  The positive upbeat feeling you and your group will develop will be contagious and others will want to be a part of this new movement.

Method #5)  Pay it Forward…

This is a fun and easy one that can really make a persons day and create a large ripple affect.

When you go through the drive thru to get your coffee in the morning, pay for the order of the person behind you. This will make their day and who knows the good things that will come from them being in an upbeat mood for the day.

==> You could even leave a note with the cashier to give to the people you just bought a coffee… the note could say “Pass it on”!
