To begin to live a happy and balanced life we must take a time out on a regular basis. Take time for ourselves where we re-energize. Whether it is taking a nice walk, having a short nap, meditating, reading a self help book, etc.
Too many people believe they do not have the time to do these important type of activities. But what everyone finds when they start doing so is that they become more energized, their outlook on life improves, they are upbeat and as a result end up getting more done!

Happy Life Strategy #2: Take Care of Your Body
One of the most important aspects to living a happy life is feeling good. If you do not have your health you do not have anything. If your body feels tired and lethargic and you have no energy it is impossible to feel happy and good about yourself.
Start to makes changes in your diet, eating a nutritious diet is key to feeling vibrant and having energy. Make small changes, swap out the doughnut for an apple, drink water instead of that can of Coke. As the old saying goes “You are what you eat’!
Make yourself begin an exercise program… You do not have to become an Olympic athlete or a gym rat. Even as little as a 20 minute workout 3 times a week will do wonders for your health and your mindset.
Just making these 3 simple changes will improve your mood and mindset in a very short amount of time.
Happy Life Strategy #3: Go Easy On Yourself
One of the major reasons for people living a stressful life is their high expectations of how their life should be.
Every one of us does this to ourselves to some degree or another. We all have in our mind what our life should look like. What it will take to be happy. What we need to have in order for our life to be great.
We look around us at what other people have, what their lifestyle is like and we stress ourselves out because our lifestyle is not what we consider to be as good or happy.
One of the best things we can ever do for ourselves is to learn to ease up on ourselves. Set goals, but make them realistic goals. Do not beat yourself up if you have not achieved what you are looking to achieve, relax and simply push forward.
Love the journey… life is not about a destination it is about the journey. Enjoy the process. Do not live for the future, enjoy the moment while working for the future.
This kind of mindset will assure you achieve great things with your life. It will assure you are happy. People who are always driving themselves relentlessly and never content with what they have achieved to date are some of the most unhappy people around.
Understand there is no over night success story, every success you see took years in the making. Learn to simply take baby steps and to keep taking them. Lots of little steps will get you a long ways!
